The Results Are In....
After a 2 weeks of discomfort, 2 sets of blood tests, a VERY uncomfortable ultrasound and a nauseating upper GI series, my doctor informed me on Wednesday that they can't find anything wrong with me. So 1 month after my pains begin, I've been told not to worry about anything and that I should be fine. It is the medical professional's best guess that I had some gallstones that were causing me discomfort, but they likely have either returned home to the gallbladder or have passed through my system never to be heard from again. Oh...and if I get the pain again, then I get to go back for the tests to be repeated!
Other than that, things are good - I now have a tree planted on the front lawn. The tree - which is called a tulip tree - was planted for free by the city of Toronto. It is about 7-8 feet tall, but rather skinny - I know it's a baby still and will take many years to mature, but I'm happy that it is my newest addition to the house. Hopefully there will be a growth spurt this year and I'll be able to enjoy the new tree that I have nicknamed 'little green'. Stay tuned for further adventures of CraxyRaE and Little Green!
Oh! And I have signed up to participate in the Canadian Cancer Society's Relay for Life on June 2nd in Burlington. I have emailed a few of you an invitation to pledge me for this cause. If you did not receive the note and would like to support myself and my team for this event, please let me know and I will forward the information to your attention. I am currently 45% of the way to my $200 goal, but would like to surpass the goal before the relay.
2 weeks to go until the 1/2 marathon - hopefully I'll survive despite my falling off the training wagon.
3 weeks to go until the long weekend.
4 weeks to go until we move buildings at work.
5 weeks to go until the Relay for life.
I hope everyone is well and I wish you all the best!
Keep in touch!
