Case of the Mondays Part II

So I was thinking about what to say here today and had the intent to title this entry Case of the Mondays, and as I logged in, I noticed that my last entry had the same name. I'm hoping this is just a coincidence and not a permanent scenario that I feel like this every Monday.

This weekend brought me headaches, very bad headaches. It started on Saturday, thought it went away, but was back on Sunday and I knew it didn't go away before bed, but I was hoping that it wouldn't be here this morning and unfortunately it was. So now I'm wondering to myself if this is caused by the weather, exhaustion or potentially a feline allergy. If this thing hangs around for another day I will be making an appointment to see the doctor about it. I feel like a zombie and am pretty sure I'm looking like one too :(

Christmas has left the living room!
This is a record for me, and not one I'm proud of. I beat my previous late Christmas removal deadline by 2 weeks this year! In the past, I took down the Christmas tree and decorations as late as Valentine's Day. This year I was worse! Yesterday, February 25th, Aaron and I removed the decorations and tree from the living room and packed them away for 9 months. I must say that it takes far less time to disassemble Christmas than it does to assemble, but for some reason I just can't bring myself to do it within a reasonable time frame. At least there is room for improvement next year! I do, however, have to admit that there is a snow globe and a Santa that remains in the basement, but they should be away by this evening.

I wish it was time for bed now, but instead, I will be continuing to work until 5pm rolls around. I wish you all better Mondays!

Take care,
C.R.

Case of the Mondays

Where did the weekend go?

Saturday began with a trip to Ajax and another weekly WW meeting - small success this week - down 1.4lbs for a total of 32.2! Afterwards, I headed up to the cottage with my dad to clear some of the snow off the roof and the shed so we don't have any problems when it starts to melt or in case it rains and gets a bit too heavy. After falling in the snow several times to the point my butt was cold and wet, we packed up and ventured into Peterborough for some Swiss Chalet. After I picked up my car at mom & dad's, I headed to Future Shop to pick up a copy of Rayman Raving Rabbids (super fun!). Once I finally got home, I sort of had time to make dinner and get myself ready to head out to Mississauga for Shaundra's housewarming party. I have pictures from the festivities that I will post later.

Sunday was a bit less eventfull, with grocery shopping, dishes, laundry and wii-playing. I'm currently a bit sore from the workout this weekend with the snow clearing.

Can't wait for bed tonight!

Take care,
C.R.

Kitty hopped up on goofballs

Poor Nyaa Nyaa...

We took the biggest of the little ones to the vet on Sunday to look into her wheezing and grunting issues to see if there is something we can do to help her. After an exam, there were a few possibilities, but the vet wanted to take an xray and because Nyaa was being very antsy and trying to run all over the place, she was going to have to be sedated for the xray. So Monday morning, after having Nyaa, and unfortunately Misha, fast over night, we dropped her off at the vet. Last night, we picked up a seemingly dozy kind of out of it yowling kitty who seems to have feline asthma. Now the fun begins - feeding one cat prednisone twice a day! Last night we got some down her mixed in with some wet food, this morning she didn't seem hungry though - we tried milk, no luck...so now we get to try and alter the feeding schedule of the cats in order to get the medication into Nyaa and see if it helps her breathing. Oh, what fun! She has been very clingy since she returned from the vet and hopefully will be feeling better and back to "normal" soon. We're just praying that she doesn't get kitty-roid-rage! I'm not looking forward to being beat up by the cat...

Goat In

So for those of you who don't know, Aaron and I are the proud owners of a Wii. After some mad searching and ridiculous people trying to rip off innocent people on eBay, Nintendo started selling the hard-to-find wiimotes online. The other day, Aaron placed an order, which we were unsure of when it might actually ship, that has now started it's journey from Vancouver to Scarborough where the wiimote and nunchuk will find a loving home. Just in time for the arrival of the wiimote, Zelda has also arrived in the house. Never having played Zelda before, I watched Aaron begin the game before GG & VM started last evening. It was kind of slow starting - too much random plot thrown in for show for my liking, but the first task for link was to herd goats. The goats are wiley little creatures, but the best part of the herding was that when the goats enter the barn, "GOAT IN" flashes on the screen and you earn points or something...I found this hilarious! I think you really need to see it to have the full sense of the hilarity, but GOAT IN is now my giggle phrase of the day. So if anyone wishes to see me laugh for seemingly no reason, please say GOAT IN!

Not much else new right now - it's so cold that it hurt to breathe this morning and I'd really like a day that is warm enough, dry enough and nice enough to wash my poor car...Sassy is no longer blue! :(

I hope everyone is doing well and keeping warm!

Peace peeps

Evil Genius Act 1, Scene 1

Evil Genius Act 1, Scene 1

Shaundra: Help! I was supposed to go straight to the office from my dentist appointment this morning, but instead I took a cat nap and am now a few hours late! What do I do?!?

Regan: Have no fear Shaundra, Reegan, my evil twin will help you! Say you left your wallet at the dentist and had to go back for it...and your cell phone died...and you got stuck in a rain storm that was like having a shower...and the pillow creases on your face are from the dentist's chair...or you got a flat tire?!?

Shaundra: I think the wallet thing will work - you're like an evil genius!

Regan: I like to try and use my powers for good, not evil, but in a pinch, I'm here to help anyway I can :)

And Scene

Stay tuned for future scenes from the mind of C.R. - Evil Genius!

Whowantstobeasuperhero.com

So last evening, while searching for something interesting to watch that wasn't the super bowl, I came across a program that proved to be quite entertaining! Who wants to be a superhero is hilarious! 8pm Sunday on IFC - you have to watch it if you're around. The contestants all believe they should be the next new superhero. It isn't for everybody, but I think if you're in a good frame of mind and just sit back and enjoy, you'll be on the floor laughing! Check out www.whowantstobeasuperhero.com to learn more...

There isn't much else new going on right now - pretty much the same old stuff. It's very cold!

I experimented on the weekend and created a fabulous new turkey loaf recipe! mmm...Jerk!

K - so back to life, back to reality....

Peace,
C.R.
