You may already be aware of this story, but I feel this needs to be shared.

Last week there was a story in the news about an individual who locked his dog in his car during the heat wave. The Toronto Humane Society was alerted and smashed a window to rescue the dog. When the owner of the dog/car came to investigate his car alarm, the THS official handcuffed him to the car until the police arrived so he could tend to the near death dog. Hearing this story, I was disgusted by the actions of the dog's owner, but cheered for the actions of the THS Inspector's actions. Today, I found out that the THS Inspector has been suspended and cannot investigate cruelty charges. This is sad and pathetic that this action can be taken on this individual while the offender is likely our of custody and free to do as he pleases.
