Spring - a time for change

So being spring, it is time for change. What changes are happening for me? There are a few...

A few weeks ago, Aaron and I spent a great deal of time pruning and trimming the overgrowth of trees in the backyard and have attempted to make the yard safe for Cali to run around in. As for running around, we are still only fenced in on 3 sides of the yard, so hopefully this weekend, we will get the last side closed off so Cali can enjoy the yard in the summer. It will be nice to just let her run loose so we can enjoy the yard at the same time.

Aaron and I have also been making a few steps in a foward direction with the rest of the house. Cleaning up the back yard is one of those steps, but cleaning up the inside is an even bigger step. The basement has become a dumping ground for us (and some other family members), and it desperately needs work. As with the dandelion outbreak in the yard, an hour or so a day and in time, it will get better.

We have also cut some waste out of our cable bill, saving $25/month or $300/year...are consolidating some debts so we can reduce payments and hopefully appear better for a mortgage approval. It looks like we may be moving before the end of the year, so things are a bit crazy - at least in our heads - right now. Trying to look at our financial situation and determine what we can afford, where can we do better. At the same time cleaning up our material posessions in anticipation of a move/showing the house/etc. So it's fun, scary and a bit confusing all at the same time. I honestly don't know where to start right now, so just taking one thing at a time and see how things work out. Always learning and correcting mistakes along the way. Wish us luck!
