I love my neighbours

Anyone who reads my blog will know I love my neighbours and you'll also know that my words are dripping with sarcasm.

The snow is gone and there have been few issues as of late, but today I'm just perplexed. There is a hydro pole on our front lawn to which the loving people next door have decided that it is acceptable for them to affix a very large yellow ribbon cut-out for "support our troops". Apparently the 10 that they have on each of their cars is not enough to get the point across. My concern is that the pole is on our property and now they have taken it upon themselves to label our property. Not only have they attached this ugly item to the utility pole, but they have tied it up there with yellow rope making it look like an even larger eye sore. Being a public utility pole, I'm not sure what if any recourse I have for removing this item, but it upsets me greatly that they can't post it on their own property. I seriously believe that they think they can do as they wish with our property, be it walk across the lawn, park in front of the house constantly, spit on the lawn, or dispose of their cigarette butts and assorted trash in my garden. I think for the time being that it is probably best to leave it and be quiet, but it must come down before this house goes up for sale - they are difficult enough to deal with and I fear their presence could delay the sale of this house, but to have such an eyesore present will not help either. I'm off now to investigate the restrictions for posting items on utility poles and also to pray that some kid tears it down or the darn thing gets hit by lightening!

holy crap it is july!

ok - so I'm a bad blogger - no need to comment, I already know!

I got through my first quarter end in my new job, things are going well, but I managed to catch the plague from Aaron during the busy bits, and am just now starting to feel better.

Tonight Aaron and I are meeting with a real estate agent that we have affectionately been referring to as our stalker. We will see how things go this evening. The tiling in the kitchen/hallway is almost complete - that will be fabulous when it is over and done with! Still lots of purging and packing to be done.

Cali will be 1 tomorrow! I can't believe my baby is growing up so fast! She is as bratty as ever - barking at the neighbours, garbage bags, fireworks, you name it...she's yelling at it! But she's cute and cuddly and I would be bored without her antics.

Mom & Dad are on the boat on their way to Alaska now...should be home by this time next week I believe.

Can't think of anything else major right now, but here are a few random observations from the past wee while:

Saw a clown driving behind me the other day - saddest looking clown I have ever seen...angry really - wouldn't want him entertaining my children!

Why do men go through a mid-life crisis? And why is it so obvious? Saw a dude driving the girliest convertible sports car a few weeks back...and as if it wasn't bad enough, he had some random vanity plate, was bald on top, but had a frikkin pony tail flowing down his back....looked really stupid, couldn't help but laugh and point

Comb-overs flap in the wind...if you have a comb-over, please close your window when driving, you might cause an accident because the driver behind you is in hysterics laughing at you try to control it and put it back in place....better yet, cut it off, you look dumb!

Anti-abortion demonstrators - did you know they still exist? Warden & Ellesmere today had a number of people holding up large posters showing graphic pictures of what an abortion looks like. Nice way to start your morning...not the best way to get your message across - you're offending people and making people nauseous...find a better way to make your point. I question why they were even there - I don't know of any clinics nearby, so perhaps they just wanted to make people sick on an otherwise pleasant Thursday morning. Don't these people have jobs they should be at? Stop harrassing people going about their business!

And, done!

Have a wonderful day - hope everyone is peachy!!
