Long time no see...

This seems to be the season for catching up with people you haven't seen in a while. As I've been busy catching up with myself and some dear friends, I haven't been updating my loyal following here. And I'm truly sorry for that!

This past weekend, I was able to get together with some friends to celebrate my 27th birthday, Halloween as well as the christening of our new room in the basement. I do believe that the party went well. I only hope that everyone else enjoyed themselves as well.

To all who attended and all who were invited - watch for the Christmas party invite to arrive in the next month or so...or whenever...

It was really good seeing everyone on Saturday and hearing from some of you who weren't able to make it. I've been out of contact with some people recently and I need to improve on that. Please pester me if you haven't heard from me.

On the other hand there are some people who are just strange to hear from. But it is interesting to see who's around and who has been thinking about you.

If you're here, you've obviously been thinking about me - or are now... ;) So drop a line, cuz I'm happy to chat.

Perhaps a bizarre message today, but I'm sure the next one will be back to normal and will perhaps be within a more reasonable time frame.

Keep in touch - love you guys!!

Well then!

This morning I go to check my blog and start a new post and am instead met by something rather interesting - I took a screen capture to show you, because words can't do it justice!

And it looks like I can't upload a picture right now...so I'll post it later.
I'm finally able to upload, so see the image below:

I have now officially entered through the gateway to the late 20s and it hurts!

Yesterday was fairly relaxing - outside of work anyway, but I'm still exhausted! I think when you get to this age, some switch is flipped and it makes you tired all the time...

I have updated my pics on the picasa site with the wedding photos and some basement updates so feel free to view them. If blogger starts working again I'll try to load a few nice ones here.

Going to see Wicked on Saturday and planning a party on the 28th - if you haven't seen an invite, please let me know because my computer isn't currently hooked up and I don't have all of my addresses online.

Keep in touch and good luck blogging!

I'll sleep when I'm dead

I wish I could sleep now, but it doesn't look like that is going to happen.

Jill and Daryan's wedding was beautiful - the weather was great, the location was nice and the couple were gorgeous! I will post some pictures when I get a chance to get them off of my camera.

Sunday, we got up fairly early to the sounds of horses walking by the hotel room - then back home to feed the animals at the zoo (the house) and on to Ajax to pick up Dad's insulin before heading up north to the cottage. Dinner was nice - mmm turkey! and a few slices of pumpkin pie later, I was ready for bed.

Monday after helping with a few fall chores at the cottage, back to the zoo...a small break with more turkey helped with our energy (sort of) and on to mowing the lawn which had been neglected for a short while. I finally planted the rest of the plants I had purchased in the summer (the ones that survived - and a few more that I am hoping will come back from the dead). The house looks good again and the basement is now ready for the floor to be cleaned, then etched, then primed, then stained and stained again. Then we will be finished and we can try to get the house back in order - dispose of some boxes and make it so we can actually find some things around the house. Can't wait!

Down with Luigi

I talk too much about myself and what's going on in my life. So today I'm bringing up a conversation I've been having with Robyn at work today.

Does anyone else dislike Luigi - you know, Mario's brother...the smug guy that I never want to be when I play super mario bros? He's got some superiority complex or something - he's just not likeable! Or is it simply that Mario wears red and Luigi wears green - Bremmy and myself both agree that we prefer red...perhaps the colour of the character is what turns us off and not his attitude problem?

Please add your comments to this post - I'm really quite interested about it now. Wonder what I'll be dreaming about tonight? my guess is I'll be jumping on top of mushrooms and running through tubes...

If you read this to find out what's new with the Craxy one, I'm good - tired - busy - wedding this weekend - OH CRAP! Still need to think about what to say!

Gotta go...keep well my peeps!

Tell me why I don't like Mondays....

I personally think it's because I'm too tired from the weekend...

So what's been going on in the life of the craxy?

Friday night, Aaron and I went for dinner with Denise, Joe and Jenn...was a nice meal, a bit late for a Friday for both Aaron and I...I think Saturday's are more our speed for going out.

Saturday had to get up early to look pretty for my driver's license photo - although I'm pretty sure I'll look petrified in the picture. Not sure why, I just think that's the way I looked when the flash finally snapped. Then back home to finish installing the lights in the basement with Dad and Aaron, as well as installing the trim around the basement room door and finish patching the one wall. At 3pm after showering, it was finally time to head out shopping for a wedding present. I have thought long and hard for something original and was feeling rather down that I hadn't found something yet. Aaron and I ventured to Vaughan Mills for a change of scenery - which was quite a task for me with my back being in as much pain as it was this past weekend. About half-way around the mall, I finally found what I think is the perfect gift. It's not something from the registry, but something that I know I personally would enjoy - even though I didn't quite know what it was when I first saw it and am still trying to find out more about it. So Jill, if you're reading this...I think you'll like it, if not love it...and I hope that you'll be able to use it and enjoy it, but if not, I have the receipt - or I'd enjoy it being re-gifted to me...hehe - just kidding! I'm really looking forward to the wedding...got the dress, got the shoes, just need to think about what to say for the toss...

Sunday I managed to sleep in until 8:30 - so that was exciting. Then Aaron and I took to scrubbing and cleaning the concrete walls in prep for the paint. As the room was still drying out from that last night, the first coat of paint will have to be this evening. Got groceries done and some laundry, and were able to sit for a bit before going to bed.

Monday morning came too quickly for my liking...but the day is progressing and before I know it, 5 pm will be here and I can hopefully escape to do more work at home. At this rate, I'm projecting being able to relax around the 3rd or 4th weekend in October. Wish me luck!!
