Funeral Procession Etiquette?

While passing a funeral procession this morning, I began to wonder what proper etiquette is in that situation. In this case, I witnessed a van cut into the line of vehicles and was rather disturbed at what happened. At first I believed that the driver required to make a left hand turn at the set of lights and had no other choice as the procession was travelling in the left lane and was quite large. What happened instead was that the driver remained in the lane and turned on his 4-ways signalling he was part of the procession. I can only hope that this individual actually belonged to the group and was joining up at a rather bizarre location for some reason, but I have some doubts. Regardless if the person this morning was joining appropriately or was just being a jerk, I wonder what is the proper thing to do when passing/being passed by a funeral procession. Having been a part of several journeys to the cemetery, I have witnessed various behaviours. Some people get annoyed and honk, others jump the line to get ahead or make turns through the line, and some pull over and allow the procession to continue as a whole. Does anyone know what proper etiquette and legal rules should be followed?

NEW POST!!

Ok, so I admit that it has been a while since I posted, but I've been busy doing a whole lot of not much....

Aaron and I made the cross-province trek to Winnipeg just to drive back into Ontario for Sue's wedding in Kenora. We had a nice time there, the weather turned around and was beautiful for the ceremony. A black bear crashed the wedding trying to steal the attention from Sue. Can't say I've heard of any weddings in Southern Ontario to have a bear in attendance - good work Sue!

So the most recent addition to the Fick-Magee household is a 12 week old cockapoo puppy (Cocker spaniel/poodle mix). Cali is an adorable handful of mischief. Starting out as a timid calm puppy, the next few days brought out the puppy in her. Cali is now attempting to take over the house and doing a pretty good job of it so far. Our little girl is very affectionate - Aaron and I now permanently smell like puppy kisses - and always entertaining to watch (well maybe not at 6 am when I'm still sleepy and she's playing instead of doing her business outside and Aaron is in bed snoring - but you know what I mean ;) ) Will update pictures frequently I'm sure. Appointment for the vet has been made for tomorrow evening (will have to work voting around it) and we'll see how our bundle of joy likes having her temperature taken and another ride in the car!

More later,
C.R.
