So I finally got my shipment of new organic shampoo, conditioner, face wash, blemish mousse and face cream.
So far, I am impressed with my friends at Green Beaver. The shampoo and conditioner smell really nice. I opted for the rejuvenating variety for my colour treated hair. The shampoo seems to do what most "natural" shampoos do to my hair...it leaves it kind of squeaky and feeling rather tangled, but clean from what I can tell. The conditioner is what I am really impressed with. A fairly small amount removes all tangles from my hair and it feels really light and fresh. I even decided to try not using any of my de-frizz treatments today and I can't seem to see much of a difference which is a good thing!
The face wash is nice and citrus-y, doesn't make my face feel tight, I like! The blemish mousse is alright - not too sure if it's doing anything just yet, so after day 2, I don't have much to comment on. The face cream seems to moisturize just enough, it's along the lines of using a vitamin e lotion. It isn't greasy, pretty light and seems to do the trick.
Come back later in the week and I hope to review my purchases from ELF cosmetics. Most items are only $1!

I have the GB blemish mousse and grapefruit cleanser!
I agree about them smelling good and not drying out my skin. However, I don't think either did anything miraculous to my skin... especially to the degree that some people say.
I also have the winter lip balm. That stuff is pretty awesome. Much better than chapstick but kind of expensive too.
Right now I have shelled out for the Philosophy Makeup Optional kit for congested skin. Smells terrible but seems to actually work. We shall see.
I think I'm pretty lucky with my skin, I never really have big problems, so I've never really noticed any product make a big difference in my skin. But I do feel less oily at the end of the day...might be the face lotion.
Seriously though, the conditioner is AMAZING!! I like the shampoo more when I use a bit more and use water to lather it before applying.
